What are Straight Downward Consonants in Shorthand

Straight downward consonants :

Straight downward strokes formed by straight lines in a downward motion. P, B are written down at an angle of 1200 , T, D are written down at an angle of 900 and Ch, J are always written down at 300 of perpendicular.

 

Size of Strokes :

The stroke should be written about ⅙ of an inch long, all strokes should be equal in length.

There are Six straight downward strokes in shorthand.


What Are The First Six Consonants in Shorthand:

{P,  B, T,  D, Ch,  J} is a set of first six consonants in shorthand.


P  =  \   (light (↘))
